Sweet Grass

Growing up, I remember my father's hunting dogs would always stop by the side of the road and chew on some grass. My father told me that they did that to make themselves sick as a means of curing what ailed them. Molly eats more grass than any dog I have ever seen but she does not get sick that much. I asked Molly's Vet about it and he believed that she ate "sweet grass" in order to relieve some sort of stomach irritation. Whatever the reason, Molly eats as much grass as a cow and she doesn't seem any worse for it. She still has a healthy appetite so if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
