The Asa Of Guard Dogs

There was a character on The Andy Griffith Show named Asa and he was the guard at the bank in Mayberry. Every time something happened at the bank, the bank teller or bank president would have to wake him up so he could do something about it. I believe Molly has reached the Asa part of her guard dog life. Last night someone drove up to the house about 10:45 and since I wasn't expecting any guests, I did not know who it was. I heard them drive up, I got up and looked out the window to see if I recognized the car, and instead of at least barking to let me know something wasn't right, Molly slept through the entire incident. I think she may have growled when I bumped into her and woke her up when I got out of bed, but that was it.
