Snakes And Moles
One of the ever present dangers of living in the mountains, especially in the spring and the summer, is the threat of snakes. As long as they stay clear of me, I stay clear of them. The same thing goes for Molly. I have my pistol but I am not exactly a crack shot so I am not even going to try to shoot a moving target like a snake. I am not going to take a chance on shooting Molly. We are on the verge of spring here in the mountains so I have to be more vigilant than normal on keeping an eye out for snakes. We were on our afternoon walk yesterday and I saw something moving underneath the ground and it almost look like a pulse the way the ground was moving. Molly usually has a good sense when it is a mole and she made no move towards it so I was not that excited to find out what was going to pop out of the ground. Sometimes you are better leaving well enough alone.
