Amber Pays A Visit

Molly and I were greeted on our afternoon walk yesterday by Amber, my neighbor's Golden Retriever and a fixture in the neighborhood. Molly is usually not too receptive to canine guests but Amber poses no threat to anyone or anything so Molly greets her with a touch of the nose and a cordial sniffing of the butts. Amber also has to come get a few pats from me and an ear scratch and a belly rub and I am more surprised that Molly allows me to. Molly has always had a jealous about a mile long and she has never had to share me with anyone except an ex-wife and the occasional girlfriend. Molly has always let them no their place and that is at the back of the line.
