Molly's Happy Place
Yesterday afternoon when I went to pick up Molly from her kennel, I was finally able to figure out why she likes this particular kennel. Molly has never really liked any of the kennels I have ever taken her to. She has even been kicked out of a couple of them and the management asked me not to bring her back. I have taken her to this one, just about every weekend for the past two months. When I picked her up yesterday, there was a sign on the door that said he was out back walking the dogs, to call the phone. I called the number and the owner immediately came to the door. When he opened the door, the place (and the owner) reeked of the smell of pot. He went and got Molly and the owner was in an especially talkative and jovial mood and he told me how friendly Molly had become. That is because I will swear that Molly was stoned. I brought Molly home, she staggered up the stairs (with my help), sauntered over to her bowl of food (I guess she had the munchies), walked into the middle of the living and promptly passed out. I managed to get her up for her last walk of the night, she came back in and passed out again, and slept for the better part of 12 hours. Most pet owners would be outraged but I'm not. People promote medical marijuana so why couldn't it work for dogs. Molly has aches and pains just like everyone else. Plus, she evidently had a good time.
