The Spirit Of Easter

Molly decided to get into the Easter spirit a day early this year. I took her out for her usual 5 AM walk this morning after only getting about three hours of sleep but I am used to that part of my life now. By sleeping all day, Molly more than makes up for the sleep I don't get.

While we were out on our walk this morning, we ran into the neighborhood stray cat. I don't know if he is a stray just an escapee, but the feline fleabag struts around the complex like he owns the place.

A brief chase ensued with Molly hot on his large, gray tail and me tethered to Molly by her pink leash, when all three of us ran into a rabbit. The rabbit was trying his best to mind his own business and remain as inconspicuous as possible but that just wasn't meant to be.

After a very brief period of chaos, the scene turned into a four party chase. The rabbit, the cat, Molly, and I all went tearing across the parking lot and into the grassy knoll where Molly and I got left in the dust and sucking wind.

Molly and I have kind of let our physical condition deteriorate and we retired from the chase scene a few years ago. Molly likes to come out of retirement once in a while when instinct kicks in but reality usually kicks in shortly after that. Since it is Easter, Molly and I hope the rabbit made a clean get away.
