The Kennel

I am going out of town for a few days and had to put Molly in Paw Pleasers Kennel yesterday. The Paw Pleasers Staff runs a great facility and are very professional and I do not trust that many people with my dog.

I knew Molly wasn't going to take this news well so I took her to Fletcher Park yesterday morning as kind of a special treat and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. She got to pee, sniff, growl and woof to her hearts content and she reallhy wore herself out. About two hours later, I loaded her up in the car and we headed towards the kennel.

Molly was so thrilled that she was going to be getting to ride twice in one day but that quickly evaporated when I pulled into the driveway of Paw Pleasers. I do not not know anything about the memory capacity of a dog but she remembered Paw Pleasers and it had been about a year since she had been there.

She starts growling and giving her "wwwoooof" in her low, gutteral growl-bark. The last place she wanted to go was inside the gate but I finally got her in the door. Molly has a copper-colored overcoat that runs in a stripe right down the middle of her back. Whenever Molly is upset or threatened by something, this stripe stands straight up and it looks like a Mohawk. As soon as one of the Paw Pleasers personnel greeted us, the Mohawk formed and I thought "this may get ugly". The young lady took her on back and I was able to rest a little easier knowing she was in good hands.
