Thank God For Dogs Part Two

In the last years of my Dads life he would have rather spent time with his dogs than he would people. Any time he had to interact with people, he took his dogs with him. I guess they kind of acted like his "security blanket." I just thought my Dad was losing it and he was slipping further and further off the deep end.

Now that I look back on it, it turns out that my father may have been a very perceptive person. Dogs place all of their faith and trust in you and you can put all of yours in them. There is an old Irish proverb that goes something like "A dog owns nothing but is seldom dissatisfied." Humankind could learn alot from dogs.
