The Flea Bag Sisterhood

There was a movie that came out several years ago entitled The Traveling Pants of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. As Molly has come to begrudgingly accept her new roommate Mandy, they have kind of formed a Flea Bag Sisterhood. They hang out together a little bit more now, they look out for each other, and they have formed a bond that is a result of mutual interests (mainly a mutual bag of food and water dish.) Molly has even started letting my roommate Tim take her on walkls and she has even opened herself up to the concept of letting someone else pet her. Molly needed to form a bond like this and she even celebrated Mandy's first birthday with her the other night but Molly is not going to wear a party hat for anyone.

Hunley

My girlfriend owns a Husky/Chow mix named Hunley (named after the CSS Hunley that was being raised when she lived in Charleston, SC) and he is the opposite of Molly. He is a little bit older than Molly but he is about as laid back as a dog can get. His hair is all over the place (we all know a kid from school whose hair was always messed up no matter what he did), he has a deep throaty bark, and has a very playful personality. Hunley has kind of adopted me when I visit and I always try to make sure I take him for a walk when I go down there and we have bonded over the course of the past 5 1/2 weeks. He even decided to jump up on the bed one day and lay beside me while I was stretched out. I think him and Molly may even get along one day.

Molly's Roommate

When I moved 5 1/2 weeks ago Molly acquired a new roommate named mandy. Mandy is about a year old and she is a Cocker Spaniel mix and all puppy. That got on Molly's nerv es for a while but I believe that Molly has begrudgingly began to accept her as part of the family. mandy accepted me almost immediately and Mandy grew up with ten other dogs and she can't understand why Molly doesn't want to play. Molly did about have a chicken dinner this afternoon and my roommate about got caught in the crossfire. A younger Molly would have gotten the chicken and the chicken owes us me a personal thank you.

The Animal Farm

Molly and I finally got moved. Molly has had a tough adjustment period. We have een living here for about three weeks now. One of Molly's first introductions was to Charmander the cat. Charmander was bound and determined that Molly and her were going to be friends. She came running up to Molly when Molly was trying to do her business and that wasn't going to work. Molly was kind of like "What the hell! I'm kind of busy here!"
