The Zombie Wubby
Journey has this squeaky toy that looks like a duck bill platypus on acid and this thing keeps coming back from the dead. The only thing I have not done is bury in the back yard. She insists that this thing be in the bed with us when I go to bed and if it is not, I have to get up nd find it and put it in the bed with us. I have thrown this thing so much for her I believe I may need rotator cuff surgery as soon as my knee heals. I guess it is her security blanket

A Long Time
When I made my last post, I did not realize it had been 2 1/2 years since I had posted on this blog. I either had nothing to say or I figured no one would care anyway. I will have to go with no one cares but that is ok. We all have our own thing going on. I am watching one of those car restoration shows on the satellite. I wonder what it would take to restore my old 1989 Nissan Sentra? My guess is $100 and a case of beer.
The first car I remember my family having was a 1965 Mercury Comet. I remember it had a 289 small-block in it and my Dad said it would scream. I do not even see those cars when I go to car shows.
Two Weeks Post Op
I am two weeks post-op from knee replacement and I am bored out of my mind. That is why I am now blogging (again.) Physical therapy is going well and everyone is taking good care of me. I could never repay them- my family my friends, my animals- for all of the kindness that I have been shown over the past couple of weeks. I could write or finish my book (writing it, not reading it), and I have several things I could be editing. Motivation is a big problem as I take at least three naps a day (I wonder why I don't sleep well at night) and I have already worn out one of my recliners.

Memorial To Ellie
My cat Ellie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 28 July of this year. Journey and I was with her every step of the way and since it was the weekend I let her pass away at home. She took care of Journey from day one and she treated her like she was one of her kittens. She gave Journey a nightly bath whether she wanted it or not and she let Journey know quickly that she would decide when bathtime was over. She also insisted on giving me a nightly bath as well. Ellie also protected us from all that she thought was going to do us harm and she also welcomed friends and family with a hearty "Meow!" She was not shy when it came to letting you know you were welcome in her house. She was a little over 14 years old and she is greatly missed especially by her buddy and partner-in-crime Journey.

We Have A Visitor
The Cable Guy came today to fix my Wi-fi that had been down for a few days and I put the animals up before he got here so they would not get in his way. I put Journey in her crate in the bedroom and shut the door so she would stay quiet but that didn't work. Journey started howling as soon as the guy walked in and the guy goes "What kind of bird do you have?" That is how high pitched Journey's bark can be. I explained how Journey can be and he asked me to let her out. I let her out and she was so excited to have company of any kind. I guess spending all day, every day with me can get kind of old so Journey ran and she jumped and she licked and she danced because she had a new friend. I am just glad that Journey is a social dog and she endears herself to everyone that she meets.
